Ohio Valley Farms OVF strives to breed for the best mothering instincts and also for the doe to have a large capacity milk production. It is our belief that a good mother who takes care of her young and has plenty of milk to raise all kids she delivers is a valuable production animal on the farm. OVF does not JUST show our Boer does, we use many for commercial brood does selling the kids for 4-H projects and to commercial meat goat breeders who want good meaty does for a foundation herd base.
OVF does enjoy showing a small string of our own OVF goats, however, we realize the end result, of these Meat Animals are their meat value and muscling. This should always be the real basis of the Boer breed. |
