Ohio Valley Farms started using Artificial Insemination in 2006. We took the A.I. Class offered by Geoff and Nancy Masterman of Superior Semen Works co.
Through their help and knowledge we have been very successful in Artificial Insemination. The first breeding season we got 4 our of 5 does bred by A.I. then the second year we got 15 out of 17 bred using the A.I. method. And this past year we managed to get 4 out of 4 bred to A.I.
One of the key elements is Patience. You must have patients if your planning on being successful at A.I.
The Photo of the Buck shown on the right is Our OVF Buck W42. This is a son of Ennobled Gauge and he also is a product of our successful A.I. Program. Artifical Insemination is well worth learning. We have been able to create wonderful kids like OVF W42. We use semen from Ennobled Bucks.
